Introduction
The Identity Panel Core Framework (Panel Platform) Dashboard allows you to create dashboards and assign each of them to various user roles. If a user is a member of multiple roles their dashboard modules will be concatenated on the page in the order that they appear in Dashboard Settings. Dashboard modules have customization settings based on the module type. Most dashboard types can be customized to display in half the page width or full-width.
Often a dashboard will have a single module type repeated multiple times with different configurations. For example, History Charting might be used once to show recent sync errors, and again to show password reset history. Because most dashboard types use long-polling to refresh themselves, it is a good idea to keep the number of dashboard modules per role down to a recommended ten or fewer, to reduce server load.
The following Dashboard modules are available:
- History Charts Display – Shows a line chart of aggregated history counters
- History Display – Shows a filter sub-set of history results
- Monitor Health Check Results – Show's the most recent result of a specific health check
- Report Dashboard – Renders an Identity Panel report as a dashboard module, supports general report controls like paging and sorting
- Run Test Panel – Allows execution of MIM Test cases/Recovery panel actions
- View Output from Panel Tools – Show's a newest data first view of Panel Tools console output
- View and Run Schedules – Displays status of pending and executing schedule steps and allows steps to be executed ad-hoc
- Configure Pending Workflow Queue - Displays unprocessed workflow queues and allows purging

General Settings
Dashboards must have unique names for identification, but the names do not appear in the user interface and do not have any functional impact.
A dashboard must be assigned to one or more security roles in order to be visible to users.
After creating a dashboard and setting the name and role, toggle it open, and use the "Select Type" dropdown and "New" button to add modules to the dashboard.
Each module must be given a name, which is used to caption the module on the dashboard.
Modules may have their width set to Half or Full. A width of half means that two modules will appear side-by-side on a typical browser display. Generally Half and Full appear the same on mobile devices.
The following modules appear better in half-width:
- Monitor Health Check Results
- Run Test Panel
- View and Run Schedules
- View Output from Panel Tools
- History Display
- Configure Pending Workflow Queue
The following modules vary depending on other configuration settings
- Report Dashboard
- History Charts Display
