Requires Identity Panel v7.1 or higher.
Q: Why are JoinValues for an unwanted join rule persisting on Object Records?
A: When a Join Rule is deleted, and JoinValues are subsequently recalculated, if there is no longer a join rule corresponding to an entry on an object's JoinValues collection it is skipped and never recalculated.
To ensure an unwanted JoinValues entry is deleted, before deleting the corresponding Join Rule, first set the Value Rule to null, Save and Apply Join Rules. and wait for the Join Rule application web job to run to completion. Then inspect the JoinValues on the reprocessed Object records to confirm that they no longer exist, at which point you can now confidently delete the unwanted join value.
Q: Why is Time Traveler not reflecting my newly saved Join Rule, even when I can see that the JoinValues are correct?
A: Before running the Apply Join Rules task, make sure you have first run the Identity Graph Reload task to ensure that the new values are honored in the Join Graph.
Note that the descriptive text which appears on the schedule step:
Triggers full reload of Identity Graph data. Step will complete immediately while reload continues to run on the server. If a reload or sync is already in process the step will have no effect.
The reload must run to completion before the new JoinValues will take effect in the Time Traveler.
