Requires Identity Panel v7.1 or higher.
The Hyperverse has an implicit flow of Join Values from whatever the first source silo is on the first active import attribute flow rule.
For example, if the first flow rule importing into the HV is HR – Direct Import, and it has only one data source, e.g. Workday: People, then HV will be maintained with the Join Values property of the workday record. If the workday record disappears, and there’s a backflow from AD, then Join Values will be updated to match what’s on the AD silo.
This behavior will also be followed by the projected silos.
Since all joins are non-sticky, a tool is available to manually revise the join values on a graph to force accounts to join as desired. The manually specified joins will revert when a data scan provides an update (or with a full sync in the case of HV and Projected), but it provides an opportunity to have data flow on the artificial/desired join graph to correct target systems.
1. Go to time traveler for the user that you want to revise joins for.
2. Use the pencil icon to launch the interactive menu.
3. Expand the Join Editor.
4. Remove any joins that are no longer required.
5. Add any desired joins that are missing.
6. Commit the changes.
