Why Test? Problems with Testing, How we can help.

Introduction

When it comes to testing, there can be lots of issues and challenges.  You might not be doing any testing currently. It might be that testing is taking too long to complete, or you are doing a lot of testing, but defects are still getting into production. It could be you are doing testing, but struggling to capture the evidence that the testing has been completed.

At SoftwareIDM, we can help solve all of these challenges using Identity Panel, and our Test-Driven Development methodology.

Testing requires a lot of time and effort.

If your testing is manual, and requires a lot of time to setup, run, and collect the results, Test Panel can be used to automate it for you.  Test Panel uses the same functionality as Identity Panel and HyperSync, allowing Test Panel to create Fixtures in downstream systems, run the schedules, and then perform assertions to confirm the expected actions have occurred.

On top of this automation, the tests can be scheduled to run, allowing them to occur when the development system is not in use, and allowing regression testing to take place each night. A benefit of the regression testing occurring daily is it allows defects to be detected early, and they can be fixed before further development takes place which could further complicate the issue, if it were to be addressed later.

We are testing but defects still get into Production.

We are doing great testing but struggle to document it.
