Google Provider: Configure Data Connection

Prerequisites

The following must be in place before commencing configuration:

• An Identity Panel application instance
• A license key must be obtained from SoftwareIDM and added to ~/settings in Identity Panel
• A Google Tenant
• A user account on a G Suite with Admin permissions to allow you to perform the setup activities below

Initial Setup

Once the prerequisites are in place, follow the steps below to add a new Google provider to your Identity Panel instance:

1. Create Project: https://developers.google.com/workspace/guides/create-project
   
2. Activate Cloud Shell and Enable APIs: https://developers.google.com/workspace/guides/enable-apis
3. Enable Admin SDK API cloud shell command: gcloud services enable admin.googleapis.com
   
4. Create service account: https://developers.google.com/workspace/guides/create-credentials
   
5. Assign user management admin role
   
6. Create and download key credential for service account
   
7. Create a new google provider in Identity panel. Paste the entire contents of the JSON file into Key Credential JSON, or provide a Panel Service local path to the JSON file:
