Uplift is a Metaverse extension for Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) that uses a simple rule language to enable code-less provisioning and customization of flow rules.
The configuration of Uplift is through the file app.config file in the Extensions folder on the MIM Synchronization server. If you own MIM DevTest, you can configure Uplift using MIM DevTest within the Identity Panel Core Framework (dev license), which gives you a GUI IDE and many helpful features.
If you are using the Open Source version, you can use an editor like Visual Studio. The Open Source version supports Intellisense, allowing you write rules more easily. The Open Source version of Uplift protects your investment, regardless of which development approach (Commercial MIM DevTest or Open Source) that you choose.
Some of the unique benefits of MIM DevTest, is its ability to code and test Uplift using a web application hosted on premise or the cloud. The web UI also allows teams to work on a shared projects. Also, the built-in MIM DevTest GIT source control protects the enterprise, by allowing for complete and automatic logging and monitoring of all code changes and who made them, with the ability to roll back unwanted changes.
Details on Uplift alone can be found on the SoftwareIDM Uplift site. This content is also being enhanced and relocated to this site, and can be found under the Rule Engine.
Training on Uplift and Rule Engine is available through the Knowledge Package for MIM DevTest
