Introduction
If you are using Test Panel to automate testing, and Azure Dev Ops to capture and monitor tests, you now have two systems storing test data which need to be linked together.
Link Azure Dev Ops to Test Panel
Within Azure Dev Ops, each test case is given a unique identification number. By adding this number to each Test in Test Panel, when it comes to running the test, you can quickly find it in the test dashboard by entering the number. Please see the guide below for adding this link.

| Go to boards, backlogs. | |
| Select the User Story with the test cases | |
| You can now see the ID number for the test in Azure Dev Ops | |
| Log in to Identity Panel, and go to Test Panel. select the testing provider | |
| Go to the test in Test Panel which matches up with the test in Azure Dev Ops | |
| Prefix the name of the test with the ID Number from Azure Dev Ops | |
| Save the change. enter a commit message, and click Ok. | |
| Go back to the Dashboard now | |

Under run test cases, enter the ID number for Azure Dev Ops. You can know quickly search for the User Story of interest in Azure Dev Ops, and see the tests associated with it. Using the ID number from the tests, you can now quickly run the tests to validate the user story is working as expected. |
Linking Test Panel to Azure Dev Ops
Within Test Panel, there is a description field, where a hyper link to the User Story and Test Case can be added, when viewing the Test Panel Config in the Built As guide, this will provide a link back to the relevant sections in Azure Dev Ops.

| Open the test case | |
| In the top right corner, click on the Test Case ID |

| Back in Test Panel, add the following to the description:Click the following link to view in Azure Dev Ops: {Link} Click the save button, and enter a commit message before clicking ok |

| While the link in the notes is not clickable, it does create a clickable link from the Built-In document. Click Settings History on the left hand NavBar, and scroll down to the test case within As-Built document. |
