Requires Identity Panel v7.1 or higher
When a Provider is deleted from Identity Panel, the data from that provider remains in the datastore within Identity Panel, but you will no longer see the provider's label in the Time Traveler, and you will not be able to search for the data.
However, there are occasions where you might wish to delete the data as well, and up until version 7 this was not possible via the Identity Panel UI.
Purge Silo
The "Purge Silo" feature allows administrators to completely purge data associated with any silos in the Identity Panel. It can be handy especially for DEV environments to clean up silos with inconsistent schema.
This feature requires the Delete Silo license sku, included in the Blanket Lab License.
For Prod environments, the license when applied will enable the Purge Silo feature for 24 hours.
1. Apply a Delete Silo license (included in Blanket Lab License).
2. License key will cause a new checkbox to appear on the provider settings:
3. The checkbox "Allow Silo Delete" must be selected and saved to allow deletion. It will expire and auto-deselect after 5 minutes.
4. When Selected, Silo Purge Options will appear:
4. Select the desired Silo to perform deletion from the "Select Silo to Purge" dropdown and click on the "Purge Silo" button.
5. A final confirmation prompt will appear. Click "Ok".
6. Based on the operation, a final confirmation will appear suggesting whether the purge has succeeded or failed.
